Charlotte, Michigan was first established in 1863, but only as a small village. It would take eight more years for the humble village of Charlotte to be incorporated as an official city in Michigan. Eventually, Charlotte was established as the county seat of Eaton County.

While Charlotte has grown substantially over the years, it is by no means a metropolis. With an estimated population of 9,074, Charlotte, Michigan strikes a nice balance between being too big and being too small, making it the perfect sized city for many of its residents.

Those living in Charlotte and those visiting the city will find plenty to do and see. Many of the local public parks in the Charlotte area showcase the natural beauty and wonder of the state of Michigan. In order to make things a little more entertaining in the area, a murder mystery dinner theater was founded, quickly becoming the most popular attraction in the Charlotte area.
